On the Topic of EV battery Recharge

This is a very interesting project.  As i have lived in China for many years and have seen the hybid bike's big successful stories, i think EV gets popular in this coutry is just a timing problem.
The recharging could be a big problem for EV dirfvers.  But this problem could be solved by recruit enough "battery stop franchises".  Taking hybid bike as an example, this bike is more environmental and efficient than the traditional motocycle.  But the fetal problem is that the bike's battery has to be recharded within certain distance.  It is really inconvenient for a user to carry the heavy battery and look for a plug in.  Instead, the bike manafacture recruit many small shops to provide a echange battery service,  so that the users do not have to wait for a recharging period.  The only cost for them is a few dollars mothly payment.  Because of the huge population in China, the profit margin is quite attactive for those small battery shops.  This businss model turns out to be very sccussful in China.  I think if EV comes to China, we can persuade big players like PTR to join this project.  The wide-spread gas stations can be treated as "battery shops".  The more convenient for the drives, the more popular EV will become.
These are just some primary thinkings after i read the article of Better Place on Business week.  I hope you guys can join this discussion and bring up more ideas.

    Project Better Place will be

Project Better Place will be doing exactly like you describe. They will be providing battery exchange stations, much like a carwash, that you can drive into and get your battery swapped out for a fully charged one. The goal is to have the whole process take less time than fueling up your car like you do now.
